Our first 3D scanner, the Vivid 9i, has arrived! Students from the Sustainable Archaeology Animation Unit, who have joined us for an internship program over the summer months, have set up, and are starting to do a few test scans with our new equipment. We're very excited to add the scanner to our growing list of equipment, and to start developing the protocols for artifact scanning and digitization that will be used to create digital reproductions of thousands of artifacts held at our facility.
